Ever consider opening a US food franchise?
« on: December 05, 2004, 11:15:16 PM »
I was messing about on the net late last night and explored franchise opportunities within the Togo's, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts family of franchise. :)

I miss donuts, I can't help it.  I've tried every variety I can find out here, eaten seven Krispy Kremes in one sitting but I still miss the easy access to a donut house.

DH and I have jokingly talked about opening a Taco Bell but TB isn't interested in opportunities in the UK at this time.  They have enough probs (wrt to quality control and whatnot) in the States.

Btw, I have found Baskin Robbins and a Mrs. Field's type cookie store in a shopping mall so can't complain about that.

I think Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts both tried expanding into the UK and subsequently failed.  As has Wendy's (unfortunately).

Belfast has had two Starbucks open recently and I always thought whoever opened one of them would make loads of money (they are franchise, aren't they?).
