Married living in UK, now pregnant and we are moving back to USA
« on: December 07, 2017, 12:53:28 PM »
Hi!

We did the spouse visa last year and are in UK. Due to various family/support reasons we are relocating to the US in about 1 year. Just found out I am pregnant (I am USC, husband is UKC).

The application for my husband to move there doesn't ask about pregnancy but we will have the baby when we move.

What do we need to know/do for US citizenship for baby born in UK?

Congratulations!

You will register baby’s birth (consular report of birth abroad) and apply for a US passport at either the embassy or a consulate in the UK.  Very simple application.

That's what I like to hear! Thanks so much! :)

From there, would assume no need to change visa application for my husband to move to US, as baby will have US citizenship, and UK citizenship right?

Baby will be dual.  No idea on the US application though!

The VisaJourney forum is a really helpful site for the US immigration stuff, it was the one I used for help with my husband's citizenship way back. Good luck and congrats!!
