Applying in 10 days, last minute questions!
« on: December 28, 2017, 04:47:25 AM »
I saw somewhere on the forum that you needed US sized passport photos, but I have UK sized. Will UK sized photos be accepted?

And for cash savings: On the end of page 11, it states: "Amount in account at date of application." Does that mean the amount that meets the requirements of being in the account for 6 months? (So if in May I had 50,000, but today I have 70,000, I would still write down 50,000, because the 20,000 difference was not in my account for the required amount of time?)

And then in that same section, should I put the total in USD? And then on the next page where it asks for the total cash savings held, at that point then I should change the dollar amount into pounds?

And then when is the closing time for the USD to GBP exchange rate on oanda?

This forum has been so invaluable and thank you to everyone for all of their help! :)

No, it should be UK sized photos because because it’s a UK visa. However, they will accept US size photos as well.

I would probably put the amount you are using to meet the requirement. You can maybe make a note beside it to say that although there is £70,000 now, only £50,000 has been in the account for 6 months.

Put it in UK pounds using the Oanda exchange rate on the date you submit the online application. Not sure on the time for closing - it might say on the Oanda website.
