Armed Forces Appendix Under 18

Hey there,
I'm filling out the hand written forms for the Armed Forces Appendix for my son and myself. This is probably a totally stupid question. But I have to ask to be safe. My son is 15, does he sign the application or do I as his parent. I really don't want to screw this up. Also, I believe since this will be our first Visas we are applying for Limited Leave right? Holy cow, I've been so fixed on selling my house i haven't put too much thought into the Visas, but now I'm freaking out. Thanks so much for any help!
