Volunteer work
« on: February 28, 2018, 09:31:06 AM »
Question.  I am following a rescue group on facebook and they need data entry volunteers.  I work for US company but figured this might be good for me if I can use in my resume, just in case so if I ever need to find new work I have something in UK. Does anyone know how this type if thing comes off in a resume here? It's for Phoenix French Bulldog UK a registered charity animal rescue.

Should I try to obtain permission from them to include in resume etc.? Not sure if UK employers will only consider it if they can verify it.

Thank you

Seconding this. Even when it's not relevant to the specific job, I've always been told it looks good. (I think it might look especially good if you're an expat because of the fact you're showing you're integrating postively).
My, how time flies....
