Just joined this forum after seeing a number of helpful posts on here. I am currently living in the US and hoping to apply for an Unmarried Partner Visa in the next few months. My partner (who has dual British-US citizenship) and I have been living together for over two years now, and are planning to move to the UK together once I have a visa. For the financial requirement, we are going under the cash savings route, and we came across a question that someone on this forum may be able to help with.
When using multiple bank accounts to meet the cash savings requirement of £62,500, do they find the combined balance of all accounts added together on each day and take the minimum over the 6 months, or do they just find the minimum balance of each account over the 6 month period and add them all together, even if the lowest values occurred on different days?
For example:
10/1/2017: account A = $85000, account B = $4000
11/1/2017: account A = $89000, account B = $2000
Would the total "lowest value" for that period be $85,000 + $4000 = $89,000, or is it $85,000 + $2000 = $87,000?
Unfortunately we are finding ourselves scrambling to add up multiple accounts, as the pound has gone up drastically in the past 6 months. Would really appreciate any help. Thank you!
