New US Embassy questions and passport
« on: April 25, 2018, 06:36:27 PM »
I have a appointment to go to the London embassy to renew my daughter passport.

Is there a photo booth in this embassy to take passport photos?

I called the embassy to ask if I can bring the keyless entry car key and was told no. So is the car key without battery ok?  She kind of said yes but I'm just worrying myself out.

Also I know the site said mobile.phone is ok, and I was told it's ok but my family is giving me doubts.  So is it really ok...
=)

There is a photo booth.

You can take the car key.  The only thing you CANNOT take is a laptop (nothing with a keyboard).

In case anyone is curious, you can quite easily get US sized photos in the bog standard photo booths in Tesco these days (under "US Visa" size) and places like Timpsons all do US sized photos now.  Used to be difficult as heck to get US sized photos,  but not anymore.

The photo booth in our local Sainsbury's also does "US Visa" size which I've looked up and are the same size as US passport. We both need our passports renewing this year.

Just been to renew both of my daughters passports and there are several photo booths you can take US sized passport photos in and they are the same price as the ones in Wilko's and such £8.00
