Barcelona

Has anyone been to Barcenlona?  Any tips for things in or around the city to see or do?
We hope to make it up to Monserrat even though it might be awfully cold in January going up the mountain.
Hopefully it'll be a bit warmer than here, I understand it averages 13 degrees in Jan. which isn't too bad.

For city guides, Time Outs can't be beat. We swore by theirs for Barc. Also, do searches on the electronic archives for the travel section for Guardian, Independent, etc. for Barc. The city is fun, but DO keep an eye on your wallet when walking on the Ramblas.
