What? How? WHY? (I'm not buying it!)
« on: June 06, 2018, 11:31:41 AM »
Have you guys seen these?  Have any of you tried them?  How does it not destroy your toaster?  What horrible substance is it that it can go into a toaster and come out like a "pizza"?

I talk about terrible American junk food all the time, but what even IS this?

Yeah, unless they are in some sort of pouch, I don't see how it'd be possible?

I LOVED my toaster oven in the USA.  I miss it.  Though to be fair, my oven here is roughly the same size.   ;D

My grandmother had a toaster oven, and I learned to make the best "grilled" (toasted) cheese sandwiches in it.  My mother would never sacrifice the worktop space to let me have one, though.

I remember once when my cousin and I were at my grandmother's at the same time and my cousin didn't understand the difference between a microwave and a toaster oven... she put a paper towel in with her food.  I caught it before it went from just smoking to actual burning.   ;D

I'm not convinced. This guy says they don't ruin the toaster (although it looks like there was a bit of cheese stuck on the inside of the toaster when he took them out).

This quote from him really sells it (at 5:38):
'I'm not overly impressed. They're not 'orrible. They could be a lot worse. But... they could be better. They could be better. Because they don't have a lot of flavour. At all.'

His reaction in that video was exactly what I expected!  A bit of mess in the toaster, not enough of anything (because more topping would've made more mess), and overpriced.  But I love the video!  Thanks, TF!

I'm willing to bet more than one person has put them in the toaster, still in the plastic bag!  ;D

I use the toaster bags to make cheese and toast, they work great. You could create something similar that will taste much better and be better for you  :)

some genius already thought of this..
turn toaster on its side so cheese is "up", ya crumbs go everywhere, but its a nice college hack if you dont have a toaster oven
