NHS health surcharge increases for 2018?
« on: July 26, 2018, 12:57:05 AM »
I was hoping someone might know when the surcharge increase is happening or has happened? I know they were going to double this year, but  the online  UKVI calculator is still set to the 200.00 GBP per year.

I'm flying over on August 19th (with my newly minted "fiance/e visa - yippee!) and we will book notice of intent to marry asap. (I understand we can only give notice once I have been there for 10 days?) As we are having a very simple civil marriage at the local registry office - as soon as we can book it after the 28 day notice period, - I'm hoping we will beat the increase. Unless it has already happened and the calculator hasn't been updated. (In which case...BAH!)
Type: Fiancee Visa
Online application submitted: 26/11/2017
Appendix and evidence/docs etc sent to Sheffield 4/12/2017
Biometrics Appointment: 13/04/2018
Application Received email from Sheffield: 18/04/2018
Decision Made email: Never received
Passport/Visa Returned: 21/07/2018
Approved!

We don't yet know unfortunately. You're being smart to get it done as soon as possible though. And it will also get you to ILR that bit quicker!  :)
