So, should I bring my partner with me to the appointment(unmarried partner visa)?

Thanks.

From looking at other posts, I gather you are applying in-person to switch from Tier 2 to FLR(M) Unmarried Partner?  For in-person applications, your sponsor should attend with you unless they have a very good reason why they can't be there.  It's my understanding that very good reasons are things like hospitalisation, or overseas work assignment.  So, yes.  Your partner should attend with you.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

It's basically a requirement that they are there with you.  Unless, CRAZY circumstances that physically prevent him from attending.
