Current prices in GBP:

Fiancé visa = £1,523
Priority processing = £573
Shipping labels are only in USD

Current prices in USD (these change with the exchange rate every few months):
Fiancé visa = $2,109
Priority = $793 (was $834 last week)
Round-trip shipping = $265
Or
Return shipping only = $165

Have you worked out your timings to be sure you have left enough time to get your visa? That's one of the reasons it's such a pita to get married in the UK, the logistics are a nightmare.

You know, you could actually get married in the US, and still do all the wedding stuff in the UK that you have already booked.

It would just be a question of doing everything the normal way, but not actually doing the actual legal bit (signing the register) at the UK ceremony... you wouldn't even need to tell the guests - you could just carry on as if it's a regular wedding, but you simply don't sign anything legal.

A friend of mine from school did this the other way around... she moved to the US on a fiance visa, then got married and converted her status to a spouse visa in the US. Then they returned to the UK and she had her big wedding there with family and friends. For all intents and purposes, the UK wedding was the proper one, and if I hadn't known how the US visa process worked, I would have thought her wedding photos on FB were the real thing.

A few of our members have done this and reported that it worked really well for them.

If you do go the fiance visa route, after you are married the additional costs will be:

FLR(M):  £1,033
NHS levy:  £500, raising to £1,000 at some point in 2018 (no date announced yet)
Same day processing:  £610 (optional)
Plus the costs of insurance while on the fiance visa as you cannot use the NHS without paying (and if you don't have insurance, the cost will be 150% more than if you have insurance).
