Final Stages Email
« on: August 08, 2018, 03:36:58 PM »
Received an email from the home office apologizing for my priority Spouse Visa not being decided within the priority timeframe. Then it goes on to say --  "Unfortunately, we have been unable to decide your application within our customer service target, however your application is now in the final stages of processing."

What does this mean? I'm on BD 38. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Have you contacted the (useless) contact line?  If so, that may have made them send the email.

Do you want to explain your circumstances to us and include a list of what you sent for documentation?  We may be able to determine what made the application not straight forward.  Usually the email is received around the 60 day mark.  Any chance you have a dependent applying with you?

Thanks for the reply! I contacted them on the 30 day mark and they emailed back a generic email stating they escalated it, etc. I didn’t send anything else back.

My application is pretty straightforward. We went with Cat A and he makes over £18,600. We sent a TON of relationship evidence (FaceTime logs, iMessages, Facebook messages, pictures, social media pics), and we sent a council tax bill, a letter from his parents stating we could stay with them and a land registry letter. I don’t see anything being not straightforward. We do not have any children so it’s just me applying.

Looks like you sent the right accommodation evidence (though you didn't need the council bill).

May have been overkill on the relationship stuff.  Shouldn't have been more than 2 photos and a few pages of communication (say 10 at a stretch).  It may be they are wading through that looking for the required documents.

What did you send for financials?

Did you send 6 FULL months of payslips that clearly stated from the 1st of the month to the 31st of the month?  If the payslips don't list the start date, we suggest 7.

Did you send 6 FULL months of bank statements that cover the same date range of the payslips at a minimum?  Usually these need to be a bit longer on than just exactly six months to ensure you show all 6 or 7 deposits.

Did you send the letter from the employer stating the start date, salary, any increases in salary, and the type of position?

Did you send a signed letter from your sponsor?

Did you send appendix 2?

If all of those are yes, then it's likely the email that triggered the not straight forward response.  :)

Yes we sent all that you listed and we included 7 pay slips and 7 bank statements. We also included a table of contents at the beginning and separated everything with labeled cover pages. So it was super organized. So do you think it’s actually in the final stages or they’re just saying that? Because they already addressed my email so why else would they send another one, ya know? I wish they would just be more straightforward.
