Hi dear members, I'm new here.
I will be very very pleased for any advice or opinion.
I'm from Russia, married to a British man and live in the UK for a year. I have a daughter, 10 years old, who has lived with her father's mother since I moved to the UK. My husband and me started to collect documents for my daughter's visa, I found a guidance on the Internet about the settlement for the child. And I'm so upset, I'm just panicking! There is a point there, an application should normally be refused if the child has been in the care of the other parent’s relatives. In my case, the father lives in another city, his mother can write a letter that he does not have any contact with the child. But I'm not sure it can change situation, she is still his mother and my daughter lives with her, not with my relatives. I have letters from a doctor , school, dance teacher, and English teacher who confirmed that they have never seen her father or other relatives, that I was the only one who paid the bills and took care of my daughter from 2011 until the moment I moved to UK.
The father of the child with a lawyer also admitted that I'm solely responsible for our daughter.
But it's been a year since I moved and this thing about my daughter's grandmother in guidance scares me. Did someone have a similar situation? I don't know what to do. How to prove now my sole responsibility
