Kids and the post office
« on: December 13, 2004, 06:44:14 PM »
I was just called by DH to ask if I would go to the post office with the packages for England. I said no and this is why. Am I wrong?

It is around 9'F out right now. The wind is blowing very firece. We have 4 boxes of medium size to post. My son is almost six months. How am I to carry him and the packages into the post office? His stroller will not hold him and the 4 medium size packages. I cannot see leaving him in the car or the post office to return for the packages. He was upset and said he would have to do it than. I do not think I am wrong. But am I? :-\\\\

No I would do the same. Husbands are sometimes a bit slow when it comes to this sort of logistical exercise and forget that we only have 2 hands  ;)

Hey, a trip to the post office during the holidays is a joy that should be shared by everyone!  Go to starbucks, get your buzz on, and then go crazy.  ;)

*lucky to be in small-town scotland..there's simply no room for a line-up at the post office..lol*

Tell your hubby to get his sorry bum out there to do it. LOL!  I can tell you, the queues at the little village post offices are no better. Xan and I both went yesterday, while he is 22 months old, we both are sick with flu, and had to get all this stuff out. He screamed his head off the entire time.

You could suggest he take the kid with him when he goes to post the packages.  ;)

Excellent comment Stella!!  Do not feel bad for not going to the post office with such a load of boxes, a baby and poor weather.  Your hubby can do it!!
