The booking service for premium appointments is a complete mess- appointment times randomly popping up and quickly disappearing. My husband was able to get me an appointment for a date while randomly checking the site in the afternoon. Croydon took nearly 4 hours to complete processing of our VERY straightforward application. It was approved, but while I was sitting there watching my number get endless flashed on the screen under "Under consideration" I got to thinking. How in the heck is the Government going to cope with visa applications from EU migrants if such a system is seriously in play? The answer is they won't be! If you think the process is a bit taxing now, just wait until after Brexit. I will be making an ILR application in Feb 2021 and am not very optimistic about the process at that time. Anybody else share my concern/fear?

Absolutely! I dread to think! What with Brexit and millions of EU citizens to register and the new system which is supposed to come into force in October, the Hostile Environment may become even more hostile! I think 4 hours at Croydon is not unusual though. It is a very busy Centre.

Married 1966, left UK 1969, returned 1998, left again 2000, returned June 2014 (husband on spousal visa) granted FLR(M) November 30th 2016  and ILR on  24th May, 2019. Yeah!
