Decision Made
« on: September 05, 2018, 05:44:35 PM »
Hi All, we Emailed UKVI today on day 55 (decided it was worth a shot as only the price of a pint) and they responded confirming a decision has been made. So that at least has settled my wife’s worries (did it get lost etc!) so grateful for that! UPS tracker hasn’t gone off yet but hopefully soon will find out the outcome! From what I read the nerves kick in more then. unfortunately I didn’t find this site until way after I applied however checking off everything I sent next to the lists published on here I am pretty sure I covered everything. I’d like to think it were a pretty straight forward application! So fingers crossed for the result....

Thank you both. Yes at least We know it’s been decided. Which is something! We are all In this waiting game which is painful right up to the point you open that package.

Yabdunur I know you’ve been going through quite a process lately from seeing another post. I really hope you hear something positive soon. When did you apply?

We got the email stating that our application was being processed on April 30th. So it's been forever we've been waiting. I'm just really worried something is wrong and that's why it's taking so long.

Jeez I’m so sorry you’re having to go through that. Must be literally on your mind all the time. I’m no expert but you’d hope they wouldn’t waste their time on something so long if it were a lost cause. Perhaps there was something there they needed a second opinion on and it got put on someone else’s pile.
It’s tough for the people waiting, must be interesting to be the other side of the fence like so many here that look back remembering their time waiting and now they see and talk to others in that situation. I truly hope that will be us I’m the not so distant future 😊

Hold on In there! Hoping for good things for you.
On a side but entertaining yet odd note, my wife has found a way to keep herself entertained in the mean time while out walking today found a mouse laying in the road. Not seemingly hurt but quiet and not moving much. She seems to have adopted this rodent/new pet and taken it back to her parents, put it in a box and care for it. She’s now feeding it and petting it (with gloves!) and seems to have developed an attachment. I’ve already said that thing isn’t coming with her lol

Hahaha!! That's so funny and definitely made me laugh! My husband would kill me if I came home with a mouse! Let her bring it, it's apart of the family now!

Haha yeah ‘Buddy’ the Mouse (she’s already named him) is presently eating a grape. She’s even managed to convince her Mom to take care of him once she leaves. So I think I’m off the hook!
Imagine filling out the paperwork... Name - Buddy. place of Purchase - the middle of the street. Vaccinations - obviously none. Potential disease risk - Extreme
