You’ll need to include the March payslip and bank statement as well, because April 30th to September 30th is only 5 months.

Hi @ksand24 ,

Sorry, I’m a bit confused now! I’m planning to submit payslips with the eom date that covers 1st- 30th April, 1st-31st May, 1st–30th June,  1st -31st July, 1st -31st August and 1st- 30th September. This isnt considered 6 months of pay slips?

Thanks!

It’s all about the dates that are physically printed on your payslips.

If they specifically state on them that they cover every day from April 1st to April 30th, then you can use the April payslip onwards and your 6 months will be 1st April to 30th September

However, if the only date printed on the payslip is April 30th, then you only have evidence of earning money from April 30th onwards, so your 6 months will be April 30th to October 31st.

Which means that in order to apply now you will need to provide the payslips dated from 31st March to 30th September in order to cover every single day of April.

Thank you @ksan24 for the detail! For those that have pay slips that state "Pay Period Monthly," will this suffice or it will need to state the actual date range? Would stating the date range the pay slips cover in the Employer letter satisfy the requirement?

Thanks Again

You need the actual dates officially printed on both the payslips and bank statements.

If you are even 1 day short of 6 months on either the payslips or bank statements (or they don’t both cover the same 6 months), the visa can be refused.

Because of this, we usually recommend sending 7 months of payslips and bank statements, just to make sure you cover every single day of the 6 months. Better to be safe and send an extra month than to risk a visa refusal and lose thousand of pounds in visa fees.

We used to recommend just the 6 months of payslips thinking UKVI was wise enough to know it was a full month's pay but someone was refused as it didn't have the start date... so we now tell people to ensure it has the full date range on the payslip or just include the 7th payslip to be sure.  It's too much money to risk having a super fickle case worker.

What a doozie... I'm doing the above to cover my ILR as well. Will need 7 months worth of slips. You guys are amazing for all the help.
