I think I saw Christmas cookie cutters in Heals maybe? Hmmm. Can't remember now!

I did sugar cookies and tangerine tea cakes earlier in the week and I'm going to do choc. chip and butter cookies tomorrow. I used to do tons of breads, but I just haven't had the time this year. I'm jealous of the gingerbread though - I've never actually baked that, but I can only imagine how good it smells!!!  :D

Right!  Ran out of ginger and can't be arsed to fight the crowds at the store.  So no gingerbread men.  Gingerbread loaf, peanut butter cookies dipped in choccie and snickerdoodles finished.  Now making vegetable stock for cheesy bacon soup and tomorrow a cherry covered chocolate fudge cake.  Then that's me done.  No more bloody baking until next Xmas.  *sigh*

Did I mention I went to the grocery store and put up a tree today too?  I'm knackered.

Wow! You ladies are fantastic! I just attempted a very basic biscuit recipe and I think I ended up with yellow hockey pucks. YUCK! My kids wouldnt even touch them.

BTW...found gingerbread man cut outs ..a set of 6 metal ones ...at IKEA for 20p! I got some gingerbread mix from the USA. We're doing them tomorrow.

I have a dead easy gingerbread man recipe.  No molasses required, plus it foams up in the pan.  Guaranteed to amuse the kiddies.

Foams up?  That would amuse me too!  Have you posted it?  BTW have you all posted these recipes you have?

Foams up?? Hubby would enjoy that,, post please,,,lol

I didn't have any cookie cutters so we had to form the shapes by hand. Hubby made a huge production out of cutting out just ONE gingerbreadman,,,LOL,, and when he finished decorating it, it looked a bit like Mr. Bill from the old Saturday Night Live show, anyone remember him? Never failed to crack me up when he would get run over or whatever,, I am sadistic I guess,,LOL.

I am now craving those cookies that you make with peanut butter, and when you take them out of the oven,, you stick a hershy's kiss in the center,, YUMMMMm

Anyone ever make cookies from Debbie Field's cookie cook book? Wonderful creations in that book,, left my copy in Houston so I can make cookies there,, but I am missing it abit this year,,lol.
