Spouse visa - passport photo

Are US applicants for a spouse visa supposed to submit a passport photo that means the requirements for the UK? Or is a US passport photo ok?

If a UK one is required, any recommendations on where to get that done?

Email asking for additional documents: March 5

Passport recieved:  March 15th (yes!!)

A US/UK size photo is fine. Anyone works.
