ILR in-person Checklist
« on: November 09, 2018, 08:23:37 PM »
My OH has his ILR in-person appointment at Croydon on Friday, just hoping someone can take a quick look over what he'll be taking please!

It's for spouse under the 5 year route, and we're going the savings route for financial stuff. We have a child who is British, so that's mentioned in Section 3 but is not applying with him - assume we'll need to prove that.

  • Paper SET(M) form completed and signed
  • Payment confirmation
  • Appointment confirmation
  • Passport photo  - applicant x 2
  • Passport photo -  sponsor
  • Life in UK pass letter
  • Land Registry title (proof of home ownership)
  • Bank statement of cash savings showing last 6 months (over amount for Category D)
  • Letters to joint names covering last 2.5 years
  • Applicant passport (USA)
  • Applicant Biometric Card
  • Sponsor passport (British)
  • Marriage certificate
  • Birth certificate of child
  • Child passport (British)

Plus photocopies of everything we can (do we need to do the form and passports?)

Thanks!

Also - just to put my mind at rest - because this was under the old application system, our 'date of application' isn't until the appointment, right?  Which is in the 28-day window (but we booked it outside that to be sure to get one - I gather this has now changed)?

You need a letter addressed to your child in the last 90 days proving he/she lives with you.

Do you want to list the details of the items for your correspondence and dates?

If you are using the paper application, the application date is the day if the appointment.

OK, good to know - have found a letter to child from the doctor.

For letters, I've got 10 pieces in joint names spread over the last 2.5 years, from 3 sources (water bill, council tax and bank statements) so I think that should be ok.

Thanks for the confirmation on date of application.
