I am confused because the statements we sent were the originals that the bank mails out on a regular basis, and all of the amounts on the payslips are shown in the bank statements.   I am also confused because since i m not priority, i figured that they would not look at my application for at least another month.    If any of the veterans could have a check on this email that i copied and pasted,  it concerns me as there are a few typos in their email.

Did your bank statements possibly not cover 6 whole months? Even if you were a day or two shy you would need to then send 7 "months" of bank statements. They are hard and fast on that rule.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

we actually sent from February 27 to september 25.   We sent the original bank statements with the exception of the final month that was a print out at the bank and was sign and stamped by the bank.  We appllied on Oct 3, so we should be well in the 28 day rule.  I am just confused because we showed more than was asked, and all of it was legit.  I am happy to have my husband go to his bank and have them do it again, but  i just cannot figure out why they would say it is incomplete when we went above and beyond.

It’s a valid email address from Sheffield, and they do occasionally email to ask for extra documents.

By the phrasing of the email, it sounds like they’re either saying you didn’t send statements covering an entire 6 months (to the day) or that you didn’t include every page of every statement.

Ah ok ty so much ksand24

Perhaps i messed up, allow me to write up all that i sent, being as specific as i can,  if you could have a look and let me know what I did wrong. thank you so much in advanced.

Payslips
Date                          Amount  net pay                Shown in Bank statement?
23/02/2018              4862.95                                            no
23/03/2018              4842.95                                            yes
25/04/2018              6081.21                                            yes
25/04/2018              4862.96                                            no
25/05/2018              5322.21                                            yes
25/06/5018              5078.47                                            yes
25/07/2018              5142.65                                           yes
24/08/2018              5111.51                                           yes
25/09/2018              5280.81                                           yes

The bank statements we sent cover from  Feb 27  2018 to September 25 of 2018.  It does not show the payslip going in for that month, i agree.  But by counting the other months, we show 7 months of payslips with 7 entries that are shown.  Now for the month of April, he got two payslips with different amounts, the 6081.21 is reflected going in but the  4862.96  is not shown in the bank statement.  He does not know why he got two on that month and is checking on with HR.  Do you think If i just have him go to the bank and get bank statements  from
Feb 23  to Sept 25. , would be enough?  This would show the month of february payslip going in.

Ah, that will be the problem then. The bank statements MUST show the deposit of every single payslip you have sent. If they don’t, then the evidence is considered incomplete.

Because the bank statements do not show the February and second April payslip going in, it means you have not provided the required evidence of ongoing income for the entire period covered by the payslips.

Was he actually paid that second payslip amount from April, or did he receive 2 payslips but only one payment? If it’s the latter and he only got paid once in April, that problem could also have been solved by not including the second April payslip... if he didn’t actually receive that money at all.

Yes, I imagine that is exactly what they need... because the ONLY reason you are providing bank statements is to prove that each payslip was paid into an account in his name.

Yeah, he for sure did not get money into his account for the second bank slip in april.  he only gets paid once a month and for whatever reason he got two that month, he has no clue what it is.   I wish we had not included it but we did.  So as to fix this issue.  I figure I could have him get new bank statements from Feb 1 all through to September 30th.  All pages of course signed and stamped by Natwest.

As for the second payslip, the only thing i can think of is to have him contact HR and have them email an explanation as to the second bank slip in april, and perhaps send that to them?

Yeah, you’re going to need to ask his company to write a letter explaining the payslip situation, because they won’t grant the visa until they have evidence that he was paid twice that month...but he wasn’t.

I would also write a letter yourself explaining why you sent a payslip that was issued in error and explaining that he didn’t actually earn an extra £4800 that month.

It’s a tick-box visa and they have to be able to tick the box to say that every payslip you sent is shown on his bank statements... so the problem they have at the moment, is that you are claiming he was paid almost £10,000 more than the bank statements you sent show he was paid (£4860 in Feb and £4860 in April).

Sending the bank statements from Feb 23rd will account for half of that money, but they will still need to know what happened to the other £4,800 he was paid in April (or wasn’t paid, in this case).

Thank you so much for responding ksand24

just one more question for myself and another that might help everyone else possibly?

1.  it asks me to put my application reference in the subject line.  Would that be the VAC # the having been giving me in my emails or would it be my GWF #,  perhaps i should put both?

2.  The second question i have is that it seems that they were looking at my documents, one would have to do more than just a glance to figure the bank statements were not corresponding to the payslips.   Would i be correct in assuming that they were in the process of actually looking at my application and about to give me a yes or no?  (until they got to the payslip/bank statements)

If that is the case it may be possible to assume that people that applied to new york might be getting decision emails and their visa's back soonish?   This is all based on assumptions of course.  I wonder how long it will take for me to get mine after i send them  my corrections.

It looks like they've used the GWF number in the email you posted above, but it might be better to put both the VAC and the GWF, just to be sure.

I really don't know, I'm afraid.

They may have someone looking through it to organise it before it is put in line, and they've flagged something up, or the ECO may have it already and is looking at it. Or maybe someone flagged it up in New York when they scanned each of your bank statements and payslips in, and added a note to your application?

We really don't know how long things are taking with the new system now, so it's hard to know exactly where in the process your application is. I think usually when there's something missing, they email you, then put your application to one side to wait for the extra documents and continue processing other applications... then once they have received them, eventually (i.e. up to a few weeks later), they will pick up your application again to process.

This is a legit email.

I sense your application may have had some IT issues with scanning, eg not everything got through to them, of it is a VFS error -- not everything got scanned. These people are really bad.

Use GWF number AND VAF number if there is any in the email.

Thank you, yeah, my husband already got an email from HR going over the second april payslip and explaining the situation,  we had them do it with official heading , siganture all that stuff.   Tomorrow he will go to the bank and get the statements reprinted with a stamp and sign on each page.  I am certain it will be a long time before i hear back about my visa, i just hope it is good new when i do.

I had serious trouble with emailing the jpegs of our scans to their email.   I kept getting "maximum email size limit exceeded" emails bounced back from their email.    It seems like they could only accept 7  Mb worth of data per email.  I had to split it between 7 emails to get them our payslips and bank statements.  I hope that is not an issue, perhaps i should have tried to figure out a way to make the images smaller, they were about 1 Mb per scan but it seemed like they could only get 3-5 per email.

Personally I would recommend resizing the images (Google free picture resize and you'll have lots of options) and I'd resend as a single email.  I worry that they may miss one if it's spread among multiple emails.

Yea, i was thinking the same thing,  I resized and sent all the bank statements in one email, and all of the payslips in another.   Do you think i should resize again? to send them all in one email?  Will i upset them by sending so many emails?  I certainly do not want to piss them off.  But i agree, them getting it all in one would be best,  it adds up to being 21 attachments.
