Hi guys. On a recent thread, someone was asking about using holiday pay for financial evidence. They were told not to, and not to worry about it as they don't need to. Nobody said why you can't use it though. Does anyone have any more info on why not? I was planning on using mine for this upcoming january as we just got word that there is no work in December at my office (I should get work again after Christmas but no paycheck in January without using my holiday pay.) I have been trying to find a more stable job since I left the one that made me ill in May, but have had no luck. I don't apply till mid January 2020, so this January would be part of the 12 months I have to prove if we end up applying Cat B. I have just about 6 months to find something more stable but I've applied for dozens of jobs and can't even get an interview. (I'm convinced as soon as you click yes on the visa question at the start of all applications that mine is immediately thrown out.) My husband has also been looking for a second part time job, but no luck. Retail and such give him anxiety but he is now starting to look there. All we need is a stupid 3200/year but with how my job is only month to month and layoffs around December are common, we can't rely on it.
So any advice about this holiday pay issue would be very helpful. If I'm lucky, I might be able to beg enough shifts from my casual job to scrape together the minimum I need to bring in for January.
