Marking priority package
« on: November 30, 2018, 12:50:59 PM »
Hello everyone!

I have had another horrible thought.

We posted our documents off to the NY scan hub about 2 weeks ago. We got the confirmation email on the Wednesday just gone telling us that they have received our package.

I made sure that we had written "Priority service paid" on the outside of the folder.

However. The lady at the UPS store wouldn't let us write anything on the actual package itself. Please tell me that they will open the package before chucking it in with everyone else's non priority packages...

I will literally hit the roof if that's the case...

Any reassurance and advice massively appreciated as always.

Alex

With the revamp of the website, it no longer says to mark the outside of the package as priority.  So I suspect all applications are treated the same before they are scanned.  And then they are treated as priority/non-priority once in Sheffield.  So long as you included the priority receipt, the application will be handled as a priority application.  It is very very rare for a priority application to be put in the non-priority pile.

Hi there!

Thank you for putting my mind at rest.

Is there a timeline thread for priority visas?

If so, could someone link me to it? Thought it might be helpful if I added to it :)

thank you!

Don't be fooled by the title, this is the one we've been using for a while.

OH Good, that makes me feel better too... I had it written on the padded envelope I toted around and when I took the documents to UPS, they put it all in a letter envelope and when I got about 90 miles down the road I realized I didn't write priority either. ::)  ;)
