New 2018 form!!1040

Just noticed the form has completely changed and you have to complete a schedule 6 for a foreign home address. That form 6 is a joke it’s only the top section of a page !! I wasn’t sure if I had to file but read if you made at least 5 dollars last year you have to file too funny !!
My home for 18 years since June 2002. Became a citizen 2006

Welcome to the new “simpler” tax form that was promised with the last tax reform.

If you file form 2555 (FEIE), you'll also need to complete Schedule 1. And/or, if you file form 1116 (FTC) you'll also need to complete Schedule 3. Both are simple, but somehow we managed to get this far in life while completely misunderstanding the meaning of 'simplify'.

What's wrong with a postcard? My personal opinion is that the IRS will simply (and not on purpose) lose thousands of Schedule 6 pages and consequently will mess up thousands of addresses for folks outside the United States.
