Wedding Certificate

Hi, we're in the process of applying for a settlement / spouse visa for my husband. Got the biometrics appointment tomorrow morning. My quick question is that do we need to send off the ORIGINAL wedding certificate with the rest of the documents to New York or will an authenticated copy suffice?

I used a certified copy. I was not very inclined to send the original. The result.....here I am living in Scotland. Just please be sure to post a list of everything you are sending well before so the experts here can double check it! You don’t want a refusal for a silly little oversight.

Send a copy.  Copies of EVERYTHING.  Since the new switch to the scanning hub, things "go missing" a lot.

Even better if you can upload everything yourself!  Definitely give that a go!

I feel like this is going to become the go-to advice of the future the idea of any of these documents ever going missing is terrifying
