Tax Return - How do I recieve?
« on: March 06, 2019, 10:09:27 AM »
Just like the title says I have a tax return but my bank in the UK will charge me fees to cash the check and take nearly 3 months to clear funds. The return is pretty small so I don't really want to deal with that hassle if possible. How do you get your returns to you? Did I miss the international bank account option?

I left a US account open for direct deposit, and then can use TransferWise if I need it in the UK (I'm assuming after this year I won't get a refund, but the US account helps for other bills as well).

On the odd occasion that I receive a check here, I send it to my bank in the US by post. I know that some of the banks let you deposit using a mobile banking app where you just take pics of the check.
