Hello all.

I've got to get my FLR(M) in within the next few days... it's crunch time and I'm stressed beyond belief.

I took a two hour train ride to go see an immigration attorney yesterday, but she said that the form has changed since she last did an FLR(M), and was confused as to the new layout. I do try to work things out before pestering people on the forum, but here we are.

The main problem right now seems to be the child section. My child is under the age of 2, and my husband is British so I'm confused as to some of the answers...

--> Do you have dependent children under 18?

...when I say yes it sends me a load of questions that seem to point to that I'm bringing a child into a new marriage from a previous marriage... it's not that complicated and not even the immigration attorney seems to know why.

Is my child an additional applicant? I wouldn't think so bc he's British. If I don't include him it seems that I don't have children...

next problem question:

--> Do you rent or own?

Theoretically *I* don't own, my husband has a mortgage (that I'm not allowed to be on)... but when I say 'I neither rent or own' it asks me for a letter from the homeowner saying why I can stay?!? (My husband?)

Has anyone had problems submitting printed or faxed copies of mortgage statements?

The online form is bad!

Because they are British, your child is not an additional applicant.

Choose, you own.

As larrabee said, your child is not an additional applicant, but you still have to mention them on the form and answer questions about them (plus I believe you still need to include their passport, birth certificate and evidence of where they live).

For accommodation, they want to know what your housing situation is as a couple.

So, they are asking:
Do you and your spouse live in a property that you and/or your spouse own, or do you and/or your spouse rent that property? Or, if neither, what is your and your spouse’s living situation.
