The first thing my daughter did when she heard the new baby’s name was to sing “Archie’s Song”.
She was obsessed with “Balamory” as a toddler.
It’s accurate really as he lived in a castle.

Ah, Balamory...I remember when I took her and her brothers to get their US passports renewed at the US Embassy back in 2004. She was three and she was thrilled that PC Plum was guarding the building. Yeah, with machine guns! Lol

Ah man, Jimbocz, I’ve got that song in my head now and I’m feeling sad as the girl is now 18. *sigh*

What's the story in Balamory, wouldn't you like to know?

My daughter is 15 and we used to love watching that one together. Along with Big Cook Little Cook, Mister Maker and the one about the lady that cleaned buses and the guy who ran the snack bar on the train.

My husband says this frequently!  I feel like I'm on the cusp of figuring out what it means...
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

You should watch a few episodes.  Apparently the village they fimed it in is still painted like the show and is full of Japanese tourists.

There's a friendly American painter named Spencer and an inventer named Archie who inexplicably lives in a pink castle

You mean it's a real place!  I think I am getting mixed up with Postman Pat.

It's Tobermoray on the Isle of Mull. I've been there.
