Thanks for the reply, I wanted to check something as I hadn't thought to look at the exp date on the BRP *duh*
He was granted Leave to remain on 11/01/2018, his BRP expires 27/07/2020. So which dates should we be applying between, is this a case that I am stressing it way too much already?
As he came to the UK on a fiance visa and then switched to FLR(M), the earliest he can apply is 28 days before his current BRP expires - the date on his BRP is extremely important as it's the only date that matters in his case.
So, if his visa expires on 27th July 2020, he can apply any time between 29th June 2020 and 27th July 2020.
I know the process has changed, you cannot do it via snail mail anymore and I don't seem to be able to find any guidance notes on the new form, if indeed it has changed? I also saw on another post about an appointment that you need to attend now as everything is uploaded?
The .gov website doesn't seem to elude to any of the changes in process itself
Any Advice?
It has changed, but I don't know the details myself as I have not gone through it and as you say, the UKVI website does not mention specifics, as a lot of the information is part of the online application now and I can't see that.
The applications are now completed online and are submitted via the new third party contractor, Sopra Steria, which I believe involves scanning and uploading documents, and potentially attending an appointment (not just for the premium service, but there are other appointment services now as well.
Some info about the new service is here:
