Biometrics appointment fee?

Hi everyone! We've just submitted the visa application for my husband. We selected to attend the biometrics appointment in Kansas City MO. It said that this site didn't accept payment for the appointment at the centre and this had to be paid in advance online and take the receipt to the appointment.

I have the appointment confirmation, but there is no instruction on there about how to pay the fee - has this been added to the visa fee when I paid for that? I noticed that it was $2026, which would be over £1600 which is more than the visa fee so has this just been added alongside it? Has anyone else found this with their biometrics centre?

I used the visa4UK site to submit the application for a settlement visa for my husband.

There’s no fee for biometrics - it’s included in your visa fee.

You need to print your biometrics appointment confirmation sheet from the visa4uk website and take it to your appointment, along with your passport.

They will check your passport, stamp the sheet, take your fingerprints and photo and send you home.

Then you include the stamped sheet and passport with your application form and documents when you mail them to New York for processing.
