Going to apply later today, online application completed, all documents together. Just finishing appendix 2 off and the voila.

Just wondering if there is still a need for passport photos? Thank you!

For a time they were still asking for them, but people were having the photos returned to them with their documents.  If the application still asks for them, I'd include it even though it's probably not going to be used.  If the application doesn't ask for it, skip it.

Hmm maybe we will include. Just booked our biometrics online and it is in 10 days, however now there is no separate priority or IHS receipt, as it all shows up on the application form printed from the new government gateway? Anyone know about this? My contents letter says priority receipt and ihs receipt as well as online application seperetely? Should I change it?

Since the change to AccessUK gateway site, I don't know what receipts you'll receive.  I do know that if you applied through that, then you paid for priority at the same time, so if it didn't generate a separate receipt or confirmation email, then there's nothing to include.

In my experience, the ECOs do refer to the contents lists and if you put an item on it, they will expect to see it (even when it isn't a required document, in some cases!).  So if you don't have those receipts, take them off of the list.

Yeah that’s why I’m confused, the online application that I printed now includes IHS reference number and it does say PRIORITY on it also, I imagine it’s all gone into one now

I suggest you modify your contents list, then, so it's consistent with what you've actually got.  And I'd still put "PRIORITY SETTLEMENT " on the outside of the package you post.

No, no... well, I mean, you could do that and put it on top of all the documents inside since you no longer seem to have a separate receipt.  But I meant on the outside of the package, on every face, use a Sharpie to write "PRIORITY SETTLEMENT", so they know without even opening the package that it is a priority one.

Just the thing is, we will be scanning them at biometrics. Maybe the scanners will saybthis isn’t needed and won’t include it.

The passport still gets sent in.  There is going to be something to ship, and that will need to go in an envelope.

Oh, so we will need a return shipping label for the passport and things?

I thought we take passport to biometrics and they just keep it until a decision is made.

I've just realized, you're the one whose partner is in Japan, aren't you?  I have no idea what the procedure is.  Have her take everything with her when she goes to biometrics, and they will have to give her further guidance.

You have started a lot of threads, and it is difficult to piece your details together.  I was answering based on the assumption that this was a typical USC application.  Usually, people keep all of their questions in a single thread so when we answer them, we can see all your details and know what advice you've already been given.  A single thread makes iteasier for us to help you.
