Have not used Schumacher, but you might check with Rainier Overseas Movers - they have a "slow boat" method where your goods are crated up and warehoused, and when they have enough crates for a full cargo container the stuff ships out. It can take several months, but it's much cheaper than the usual, I believe. (There may be other companies that offer the same service - I'm pretty sure Robinsons over here in the UK does the same thing.) We used that option coming over here and anything that fit into the crates (about 180 cubic feet of stuff) ships for a given rate, regardless of weight.
