Hi,

I submitted my ILR application online on the 6th of February and my biometrics appointment was yesterday (13th). BRP is expiring and my employer uses a third-party company to verify right to work. They are asking for some document that proves my continued right to work, but I have nothing to give them. I know that legally, as long as a decision from UKVI is pending, my leave to remain is extended, but I'm pretty sure they won't accept a copy and paste paragraph from gov.uk. Is there any number I can call to have a document emailed? Thanks for your help

If they want to check your right to work they can do it directly with UKVI here:
https://www.gov.uk/view-right-to-work

You will need to provide them with a right to work share code though, which I assume you get here:

Thank you larrabee and ksand24. I just followed the link to get my share code, but it still has my original BRP expiry date as my last date to work legally. Any idea when it will change to reflect my new status as having an application under review? thank you

Ahh, I don't know I'm afraid, but in the meantime you can show them this and the receipt for payment of your application.

I just went through this with my employer.  They will have a form to fill out to get your status.  The sharecode only works on your current BRP, which will show as expired.

Once you attend your biometrics, they can submit your paperwork to the HO and they will respond back to them with your extension information.

Let me find the right link for you.  I'll be back in for an edit.

Thank you so much! I submitted all my information and gave permission for my employer to enquire with Home Office about my status. All done and I feel relieved.
