FLR(M) Passport Expiry Question
« on: October 13, 2019, 08:37:13 PM »
Hi all,

My US passport will expire about 2 years & 3 months from the planned date of my FLR(M) application. Is this a problem? Do I need to renew my passport prior to FLR(M)? Or can I renew my passport afterwards as the expiry date draws nearer?

Thanks!

Unless you want to change your name in your passport, I'd just wait until it's close to expiry before renewing it.

When you get the new passport, you will just need to inform UKVI of your new passport number (using a form on the UKVI website) so that they can update your BRP details.
