Starting on Monday, 23 March 2020, everyone will be eligible for the Scottish minor ailments scheme. It gives you free over the counter medications for certain medical conditions. Previously, you had to meet certain criteria to qualify. Which medication will be available hasn't been published yet. The formulary will be delivered to community pharmacy by Monday.
That doesn't mean to run out to the pharmacy to stock up on free medication. It means, there will be a service in place to assist you in obtaining vital medicines that you may not be able to normally afford.
