Locked out??! Major typo :( app Not submitted - help please! FLRM

I’m so upset. I thought my application was only locked once u submitted it but apparently the IHS payment locks it! I have found a GRAVE error and I’m so worried now. My last digit of my PASSPORT number is wrong. What should I do ? Can I get someone to help me before I submit and pay the final payment? Feeling terrible

To add: just called and the woman at IHS line confirms it is LOCKED after IHS surcharge is paid. No way to change

Options are
1) redo entire app and pay £1k again (not option for me)
2) explain in covering letter the error (which she claims is not as bad as I think it is ☹️)

Go to hit pay for rest of app and see a nice message NOW telling me “before you continue....make sure you’ve checked your answers” Ughhhh! So annoyed

Final question- has anyone ever redone the application and used the IHS payment from the first? In other words is it tied to that typo’Ed application or can I use it with a fresh one?

I wouldn’t worry - it’s unlikely to be an issue.

Just make a note of the passport number error in a cover letter and then ask them if they can correct your passport number in the system when you give biometrics.

I don’t think there should be any need to redo the application.
