wanted to send the contract as extra evidence though, but that is where my issue of permanent vs temporary comes in. Sigh.

If the extra evidence doesn't help, but instead adds confusion, do you really want to include it?  The only mandatory financial documents are the payslips, bank statements, and employer letter.  If those all support each other, why muddy the water?
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

This would make my life so much easier. I'm just afraid that leaving it out will also cause problems.

How do others feels about it? I know no one has the answer, but I really am looking for opinions. Anyone know of anyone that had a problem not giving the contract?

I agree with larrabee and jfkimberly.

Leave it out.

Several people have not included the contract (often because they no longer have it) and no one has been refused because of it.

Cheers everyone. I will leave it out and just have the employer letter state what the CEO said. That it is permanent. Thanks everyone
