How do you pay for priority without going to a center?
« on: January 14, 2020, 11:33:11 PM »
My apologies for the second question in a day but I just want to be able to do everything right.

Everywhere online is telling me that I need to go to Chicago to make an appointment for priority services. (That’s my closest one) While those On the forum attach a priority service receipt That they’ve paid for online to the documents sent to Sheffield.

So I guess I’m confused as to where people are paying and getting their priority services from.

Also is there only one address to where the documents can be sent to? Is that absolutely Sheffield?

Thank you again!

You will book your biometrics at one of the 130 USCIS Application Support Centres across the US and you purchase Settlement Priority processing and your return courier label on the VFS Global website when you book your appointment. You then print the receipt and mail it with your passport and any documents to New York. Nothing is mailed to Sheffield anymore.

Your documents are now scanned and uploaded at home and then you mail your passport, stamped biometrics receipt, Priority receipt and return packaging and postage to New York. There is a service you can purchase where they will scan your documents for you in New York, but it costs about £100 extra, so if you can scan at home, that will save you some money.

If you select Chicago Premium Centre for your appointment, you will have to purchase the Settlement Premium Service for $2000... this includes priority processing, return courier service, document scanning, and you get to keep your passport , but it’s a total waste of money, and doesn’t get your application processed any faster than just purchasing settlement priority processing  for about $800.

See here for info on booking the appointment, purchasing Settlement Priority processing and uploading your documents:

See here for how to apply in the USA, including the New York address you mail it to:

Hey! Fellow Minnesotan here. Following Ksand24's advice if you're looking for just priority processing there are options locally. I did my biometrics in St Paul (super efficient and friendly) and then paid the $800 for priority processing. Save the money for replacing all your winter clothes with water proof ones! I'm joking... kind of.

As I said above, after you have submitted and paid for the online application, you go to the VFS Global website where you book biometrics at an ASC, purchase settlement priority processing for $800 and you can buy return shipping labels for New York as well.

Just make sure you select the the ‘USA - Application Support Centre’ option when you do it, and not one of the Premium Centres.

Also, you will upload all your supporting documents to the VFS site as well.
