scanning in docs for flr(m)
« on: January 16, 2020, 08:40:13 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I have my biometrics appointment on Monday so we are scanning in documents tonight. Just wanted to check the following:
1. do i need to scan all pages of my current and previous passport?
2. do i need to scan all pages of my sponsors husband's passport- or do they just need the first page?
3. I have created a table of contents lists with everything broken down. That is ok to include right?
4. We moved in November, as its our current address(and one of our pieces of post is from here) but all of our other post is to our old address do i need to include some old tennancy agreements or anything?
5. we switched banks so his pay for one month is in the new bank, i include on the table of contents which payslip is in which bank statement, but do i need to write a letter clarifying the bank switch?
6. Are we ok to upload bank statements in one big pile and label (statements from june- december 2019?) we got original ones sent and they really arent broken up by month.

also how long is it taking people to get their new brp cards after biometics normally?

thanks!
meghan

1&2- If not instructed otherwise, I would scan the whole passport.

3- I think it's a good idea to include this.

4- If you mean for the accommodation requirement, you only provide the current tenancy agreement. Presuming your name is on it?

5- I would personally.

6- If they accept files of that size, yes. If not you might still need to split it up a bit.

thanks for that!

on 4 i meant the post to prove relationship is all in joint names to our old address baring 1 piece to the new address. just wasnt sure i had to show our old one anywhere else!

current tenancy agreement has both of our names on it and is valid for 3 years :)

This new scanning seems so disorganised, i just want to make sure they cant miss anything!

For 4, thanks for clarifying, that's fine.

It does seem very haphazard, that's why I think a contents list is a really good idea!  :)

thank you! one final set of questions

1. do i need to include IHS Payment Receipt and Confirmation Receipt or because its all electronic now its fine?
2. i have an aposolate seal marriage license and a normal one(from the us) which should I include?
3. Is it ok to upload the pdf for our tennancy agreement that we got from the landlord, or do we need to print out scan and then include?

You do not need an apostille. Your US legally recognised marriage certificate will be recognised in the UK.

I think that because it's all electronic that you likely don't need to scan them but if in doubt, it wouldn't hurt to do so.

It seems a bit redundant to print and scan rather than uploading the pdf. I imagine you would be fine just doing the latter but I don't know for sure.

With the old application, you included the applicant's expired passport if it pre-dated your first leave to enter. If the expired passport was from a time before your visa applications started, then it wasn't required for FLR. Presumably there is no such guidance in the online application.
If in doubt, it doesn't hurt to include it, it would be one less thing to worry about.

The categories are rubbish. It makes for more second guessing but as long as you include what you need to somewhere, it doesn't matter if some of them are empty when you're done.
