I have been reading through some of the posts pertaining to the ILR, as I am due to apply in about a month. I've seen a couple checklists on here from other applicants, and neither of them mentioned having documentation of relationship evidence other than a marriage certificate.
For both FLR(M) and ILR, the relationship requirements are:
- marriage certificate
- 6 items of official mail in each of your names, addressed to both of you at the same UK address (either joint or individual items), from at least 3 different sources, spread over the length of your visa (2.5 years for ILR and up to 2 years for FLR(M)).
When I last applied for the FLR, I had to include pictures of my husband and I together over the 2.5 year period, and evidence of trips (ie boarding passes, hotel bookings, etc) we had taken together over that same period, things of that sort. Is this required for the ILR now?
None of those things were required for your FLR(M)... they are only required for the initial fiance or spousal visa, to prove a long-distance relationship.
So, for your FLR(M) you would have been required to provide the same documents I just listed above.. the 6 items of correspondence addressed to both of you at the same address.
If you are applying for ILR in April 2020, you need 1 official document in each name from each of the following months:
October 2017
March 2018
August 2018
January 2019
June 2019
November 2019
