Covid 19 Support scheme
« on: April 22, 2020, 01:27:07 PM »
Does anyone know if those of us here on Leave to Enter will qualify for either of the individual support schemes? I'm self-employed, so I'll have to wait for a letter in June to let me know if I qualify, but it would be nice to know if it's even a possibility.

Thanks!

There is no official guidance on whether or not it will count as public funds.

I, personally, would be VERY cautious of taking up the self-employed scheme, but not the job retention scheme (for paye employees).

Is that because it may look like I took public funds? Fortunately, late yesterday I found out my usual source of work may be back in action. It's all online anyway, so good to hear I might have a paycheck again, hence no need for funds.
