whispers FLR(M) checklist
« on: June 30, 2021, 08:53:16 PM »
So the time is very near for me to do my FLR(M), I plan to apply around the 11th of July to the 18th of July.  I entered on the 10th of January 2019 and my Visa expires on 29th of September 2021.
The following are the documents I have for each category, most of which I have already scanned.  I will begin filling out the online application later this week or next at the latest. Please let me know if I am missing anything and thank you so much in advance.

Application Documents
   My Passport (all pages scanned)
   My Birth Certificate
   Husband’s Passport (all pages scanned)
Part 1 Consent to Checks form signed by the applicant(Need to acquire from online application?)
Part 2 Consent to Checks form signed by the sponsor (Need to acquire from online application?)
BRP (not sure if I need this scanned)

Accommodation
Tenancy Agreement (all 39 pages scanned)
Letter from Landlord (I am not on the Sanctuary Housing tenancy agreement)
   Council Tax Bill 2021

Finances
We will be doing Category D: Cash Savings, Have bank statements scanned that show the following dates, all confirming that we have not dropped below £62,500.
27 Nov - 24 Dec
24  Dec - 27 Jan
27 Jan - 26 Feb
26 Feb -  26 Mar
27 Mar - 27 Apr
27 Apr - 27 May
27 May - ?? June  (waiting on this one, I expect it to arrive around July 4

Proof of Relationship
   Marriage Certificate

For cohabitation we both have kept each of our bank statements for the past 2+ years.  This will most likely be what we mainly use to prove cohabitation.  Both of us have our separate accounts, so I will be scanning one from each of us as a set to fulfill the requirement for that month. The following is a list of pieces of mail that both of our names are in.  I have two things that concern me. I just realized that I only have all four pages of the water bill on the last three that I have received.  The first page of the bill shows when it was sent and the period of the bill.  I am not sure how important it is to have all four pages scanned.  The second concern I have is that we do not have a lot of official mail that was sent to us. I know we have to show a spread of the last 2 years evenly spaced, but how important is it to be perfectly spread?

Water Bill

Bill Date    23 Feb 2019
Bill Period    14 Sept 2018 - 23 Feb 2019

Bill Date    8 Mar 2019
Bill Period    24 Feb - 8 Mar 2019

Bill Date    3 Sept 2019
Bill Period   9 Mar 2019 - 3 Sept 2019

Bill Date    27 Feb 2020
Bill Period   4 Sept 2019 - 26 Feb 2020

Bill Date   2 Sept 2020
Bill Period   27 Feb 2020 - 1 Sept 2020           (Have all 4 pages)

Bill Date   16 Sept 2020
Bill Period   2 Sept 2020 - 15 Sept 2020   (Have all 4 pages)

Bill Date   1 March 2021
Bill Period   16 Sept 2020 - 1 Mar 2021           (Have all 4 pages)

Council Tax

   2019/20   Date of Issue    03 - Apr 2019

   2020/21   Date of Issue    10 - Mar 2020

   2021/22   Date of Issue     9 - Mar 2021

This is what I was thinking for cohabitation

July 2019               - Bank Statements (his/mine)
November 2019    -  Bank Statements (his/mine)
March 2020           -  Council Tax  (has both of our names)
July 2020               -  Bank Statements (his/mine)
November 2020    -  Bank Statements (his/mine)
March 2021           -  Water Bill  (has both of our names)
June 2021              - Bank Statements (his/mine)

I have a few questions about the online application.   Some have come up that I am unclear on.

1) Do you have a valid national identity card?
I assume they are not asking about my BRP card.  I have marked No for now.

2)  What type of visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission do you have to be in the UK.
This one really confused me,  on the vignette in my passport it says permission to work.  On my '''decision made'' paper
that I received back when I did my spousal visa, it says Partner.   I have selected the Family option so far, but am unsure
if I should select Work or Settlement as well?

3) Could you and your partner live together outside the UK if necessary?
While technically we could, it would be a huge undertaking, my husband would have to go back to school to be able to
work in the US.  I assume I have to select Yes, we could live elsewhere?

That’s correct. You do not have one, as the US does not issue National Identity Cards

That’s correct. You could apply for a US spousal visa for your husband and move there, or you and your husband could apply for visas to live in any other country in the world.

Reasons why you might be able select No here would be:
- your life would be in danger if you were forced to return to the US, due to war, terrorism, famine, natural disasters, domestic violence etc.
- your husband is banned from entering the US and so will never be able to qualify for a visa to live there with you

Whew, thank you so much ksand24.  That is a huge help, I was a bit stuck on those three questions.  I can for sure finish the online part now.  When you have a moment could you look through my checklist?  I think I have everything I need, just not sure if i have missed anything.  Thank you again.

Okay, you don’t need the following as it is not required:
- My Birth Certificate

Also your documents are not quite in the correct upload sections, so just going to rearrange them a bit:

Application Documents
   My Passport (all pages scanned)
Part 1 Consent to Checks form signed by the applicant  ( from online application)
Part 2 Consent to Checks form signed by the sponsor ( from online application)
- Sponsor’s Declaration signed by sponsor (from online application)

Proof of Identity/Travel History
- Husband’s Passport (all pages scanned)
- BRP (not sure if I need this scanned) - This MUST be scanned, front and back.

Residence in the UK
Accommodation
Tenancy Agreement (all 39 pages scanned)
Letter from Landlord (I am not on the Sanctuary Housing tenancy agreement)
   Council Tax Bill 2021
Cohabitation
- your 6 items of mail over the last 2 years

Finances
We will be doing Category D: Cash Savings, Have bank statements scanned that show the following dates, all confirming that we have not dropped below £62,500.
27 Nov - 24 Dec

26 Feb -  26 Mar
27 Mar - 27 Apr
27 Apr - 27 May
27 May - ?? June  (waiting on this one, I expect it to arrive around July 4 you can always just go into the bank and ask them to print it early for you

Other
- Marriage Certificate

All other upload categories are left blank.

Ideally you should include all 4 pages of each bill. If you don’t have all the pages, maybe see if there is a different document you can use for that month instead. Or if you don’t have anything else you can use, make a note in a cover letter explaining why you are missing one of the pages.

The second concern I have is that we do not have a lot of official mail that was sent to us. I know we have to show a spread of the last 2 years evenly spaced, but how important is it to be perfectly spread?

It needs to be as evenly-spread as possible - one document in each name every 4 months from at least 3 official sources.

If you don’t have 3 sources, or you can’t get them evenly-spaced, or you do not have enough documents, you just need to write a letter of explanation for why not.

Yeah, that all looks fine to me.

Thank you so much Ksand24, we really appreciate your help.   Am almost done but have a question, in the Declaration section:  Consent for the Home Office to request verification checks for joint accounts or third party support

Is the account with a bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation held jointly by you and other people?   I assume I put no, sounds like it is asking if someone other than myself or partner are a art of our financial documents?

Does the account with the bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation relate to another person who is to provide you financial support?   same as above, I think I put no?

I know we do part 1 (applicant) and 2 (sponsor), and a sponsor declaration signed by the sponsor.  Do we do anything with Part 3: consent for the home office to verify information from third party sponsor?

You're correct. Third party support does not apply to you. You don't need part 3.

No, you don’t.

You are not allowed to use a third party financial sponsor for your application, so you HAVE to say No to that question and no one should sign Part 3.

Ah, cool, thank you Ksand24 and Larrabee.  One final question, (it should be, I am at the payment for Online Application)  I scanned the fronts and backs of bills and bank statements, was that too much? the backs have generic/non personal information, not sure if I should include them in my scans or not.
