A question of my Dublin trip
« on: July 29, 2020, 09:04:14 AM »
Hello everyone,

I am about to submit my ILR application. Could someone please give me some advise on this:

My partner and me have been to Dublin (Republic of Ireland) for a 3 days holiday 2018. I had a schenzen visa and thought it was applicable to Republic of Ireland, which is not the case. Anyway, the Ireland immigration officer allowed me to enter, and placed a landing stamp in my passport for 4 days stay (writing the exit date next to the stamp ). Also told me, if this happened again, they will not let me in (it's kind of oral warning).

Should I mention all this in my IRL visa application?

I came back to UK by ferry to holyhead, 3 days later, there were only two guards to check the documentation, but they don't stamp the passport for entry. Would this be a problem for my ILR as there is no record indicating the sate I entered the Uk?

Many thanks

It will not be a problem but I would mention it in your application.
