Hi,

I wonder if someone can share their experience. we are planning to apply for the next visa this week, I am trying to organise the documentation  ready to upload. I have my document list from the application and wanted to scan it to myself at work tomorrow in order to upload it when we hit submit/pay fees etc.

Does it need to be one document? I have read that its done in categories? How do you know what to add to what category?

The document list also doesnt ask about tenancy agreement, so do I upload that as "an additional" document?

Before you submit, post your own list here, we'll check it over for you. Do not rely on what the system comes up with, it can miss important items.

Hi Larrabee,

Thank you for the reply and offer of looking over the documents list,  I am not sure they can realistically deny an application on the basis we didnt provide a document that they have not asked for,  which is why I have provided everything we have been asked for an I shall add in a couple  more documents that seem to make sense, however I do not know how the uploading of documents works, is it one long document that includes everything or do I need to separate it and create a number of documents ie finance/marrigae documents/joint correspondence etc
And if they are separate do you know what these categories are? what needs to be in each one and can you upload "additional things" such as the tenancy agreement  that had been asked for previously but  not on this application

The lists on the application are new and definitely incomplete. They can certainly deny you if you don't include a required document, which is why it's important to read the full guidance and not rely on the application. You would possibly win on appeal but who needs that stress!

I have been lazy about uploading, but there is no time limit to get it done (except before biometrics), so if you want to scan your documents and then finish the uploading after you've seen how it's organised you can. I don't think they would punish for a document going in the wrong "category" as long as its included.
