Looking for a golden retriever puppy
« on: November 14, 2021, 06:05:13 PM »
Hi all, we are thinking of getting a golden retriever. We want a puppy and of good quality. If anyone knows of anyone who might have puppies or puppies coming available, please let me know. Thank you all so much.

Hopefully I’m not the first to suggest checking the dog pounds...... so many people got pets with the lockdown and then turned them in when they went back to work......am sure they probably have retrievers .... save a dogs life .....

The Kennel Club has a list of Assured breeders, you can filter for those closest to you.

But do you think George will be ok with that?

I’m sure George wouldn’t be thrilled with it, but after a bit of time he would probably tolerate it. It’s far from a definite, just thinking. Lots of factors to consider including George. I must say that he is now certainly overly friendly and cuddly.
I had a cat in the states, sweet timid little guy. Then I got a beautiful German Shepherd puppy. For a while it was awkward to say the least. Pretty soon, the cat was sleeping in the dog bed and the big fierce dog was pouting next to it lying on the floor.

The change is really unbelievable! We can pet his whole body, and he hasn’t ever tolerated it. Still using the Feliway, and bought him a monster cat tree to play on.

What was the final cure?  Shaving?

Oh this is so good! I have friends who need to shave long haired cats once a year for the same issue, it gets matted and uncomfortable. Really glad he's doing better.

And I'm sure the tree helps him too, they really like to be able to get up high and out of reach!  :)

Yes, it would certainly seem so!
