FLR-M Question Help
« on: July 13, 2020, 10:09:36 AM »
It's that time again!
My first FLR-M is expiring on August 19th, so I will be applying in about 2 weeks time.
I have a few questions that I could use help with.

1. It asks about joint financial responsibilities with your partner and how much each of you contribute. Are they asking specifically for things that are in both of your names or everything? I have stuff in mine name and he has stuff in his. Also I'm not currently working (full time student), so while my name is on the bills and it comes out of my account, he is the one that pays. So I'm just not sure what to put.

2. For the financial requirement, my husband gets extra monthly for working on call, but he has taken a temporary reduction in pay during COVID (still plenty to cover the minimum), but I'm just not sure what to put on what he makes yearly? Do I include the extra? There's not a set amount. Do I put his salary before the pay cut or after? I realize that we will need to get a letter from his boss confirming all of this.  I'm guessing I would need to put the "Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount" option?

3. If my husband owns our home and we have a mortgage--do we need to supply evidence of that. The wording on the application is a bit confusing as it says--You only need to provide this evidence if:
you are exempt from meeting the income threshold
you are responsible for some housing costs such as rent, mortgage or council tax

I think that's it for now. Thanks for the help  ;D

For the shared responsibilities, I'd just write a little narrative to explain as you have done here, if it will let you.

You need to provide the land registry document, a recent mortgage statement and a council tax bill.

Hi,
Thanks for your response  ;D

Do you have any suggestions on what we might do for the financial requirement (#2)?

Thanks again!
