FLR(M) missing docs question
« on: May 18, 2020, 12:52:43 PM »
Hi guys,

I am planning on applying for FLR (M) in July (Visa expires end of August). Two years has flown by!

I am missing my husband’s March pay stub—it never came in the mail. I have the prior ones and April (and fingers crossed the rest arrive as they are supposed to). The mail was a bit spotty at the beginning of the lockdown so I’m wondering if that’s it. Hubby can print a copy of it. I also have the March bank statement that shows the pay deposit. Will it be enough to just include the printout March stub and explain the discrepancy in a letter to UKVI or do I need to do more? They will have the related bank statements to show the deposits.

In addition, his company made all the P60s online only, so he won’t have the original pink mailed version. Can I Just print it out and use that? Or does it need to be endorsed by someone? If so, it will be a massive pain because his firm are all teleworking right now. Grrr. I assume I need a letter from HR again like last time and his contract, so won’t that be enough verification?

Thanks!

If you can get HR to include a line in the letter from the employer that denotes the verification of the printed payslip, that should be sufficient. That's what we did with ours, and it worked fine for my last FLR(m). We also did that for my current ILR.

Sorry, that should say 'verification of the authenticity of the printed wage slip'.

From the guidance.
Quote
(bb) Payslips must be:
(i) formal payslips issued by the employer and showing the employer’s name; or
(ii) accompanied by a letter from the employer, on the employer’s headed paper and signed by a senior official, confirming the payslips are authentic;

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-fm-se-family-members-specified-evidence

You can have them authenticate it in the employer letter.
P60 is only optional.

Thank you txfotochik and larrabee!

Just found out that the pay stubs will be online only from now on. So will ask HR to include in the employment verification letter that all of the stubs and P60 are authentic.

One last question: can the letter have an electronic signature? The HR person prefers to do that.

Considering the lockdown and postal delays, I wouldn't have thought an electronic signature would raise any issues, as long as its on a  company headed form. For my current ILR process that's happening now, we've had my husband's letter from employer signed with an electronic signature from HR. If there were an problem doing it this way, our immigration adviser would have raised this issue with us.

Just jumping on the end of this thread because I'm in the same boat.  While I have officially printed bank statements, all my employer-based documents are pdf files which I will be printing at home. Payslips, P60s and now my employer reference letter with salary has the wording "This document is automatically created. This document is valid without a signature". I did manage to get HR to add "United Kingdom Visa and Immigrations" as the addressee on the pdf file and there seems to be some barcode on the left hand side. I talked briefly to someone from HR today and they said no-one is in the office so no physical letters will be sent.

When we did the application for my wife's first visa back in 2017 all of the above was accepted, but was that just luck? I'm well above the salary threshold if that makes any difference?

Martin
