It's a good thing
.
So with all of your help I applied for FLR(M) on July 13th. Day before yesterday (July 30th) I received an email from the home office requesting "further evidence we wish to take into account." It went on to ask for June bank statements (I am going with savings as my financial evidence) and more proof of cohabitation, like a bill.
Did you not already provide the June bank statements as part of your 6 months of evidence?
If you applied on July 13th, the June statements would have been an absolute requirement, because the latest bank statement HAD to be dated on or after 15th June, which was 28 days before the online application date (if you had not received the monthly statement by the time you applied, you would have needed to ask the bank for a partial statement covering up to at least 15th June).
So if you only provided the May statements, and they hadn't emailed to ask for the June ones, you would not have met the financial requirements, and your visa could have been refused.
I provided the bank statements for both my wifes account, which is joint and has both our names mailed to our UK address, my bank account in both our names mailed to our UK address and our EDF electric bill in both our names mailed to our UK address. All for the month of June as requested.
That's good
.
I assume they asked for the June co-habitation because from your document list, it looks like the most recent evidence you provided was dated in March 2020, and they likely wanted to confirm you were still living together in June.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing that they asked for more? What does it all mean?? On July 13 when I submitted the application we were not in possession of these statements or bills.
It's a very good thing, because if they hadn't emailed you to ask for them, they might have refused your visa. Instead though, they have given you the opportunity to provide any missing documents.
