Not an expert like some are here but if memory serves me well I don't think you can "Submit" your application until you HAVE uploaded your supporting documents. At least that's how I remember FLR(M) application working. Can anyone correct me if I am wrong??? Or maybe you can submit but I would think one would want to get all their "Ducks in a row" before hitting the submit button.

No, that’s not correct. It is not physically possible to upload your documents before you submit your application.

You upload the documents after submitting the application and before the biometrics appointment.

The order is:
- apply online on the UKVI website
- submit the application and pay for the visa (this is your official application date)
- you will receive an email with a code to register on the UKVCAS website.
- register an account on the UKVCAS website
- you can then upload your documents to the UKVCAS website, or you can wait until you are able to book a biometrics appointment and then purchase the service where they will upload your documents for you at the appointment

Yes. That's the correct order. In the UKVI website part, after each main step (eg Finances, Docs) you are asked to verify all the info you have entered. And at the end of the Documents part you confirm the specific docs that you will provide (although you dont list the 2 year relationship docs then. That is for later in UKVCAS).
